July 22, 2010 | Work moving forward in South Minneapolis

Cooperative Energy Futures has been parntering since June 1 with the Summer of Solutions, a program that brings together young people to create sustainable community development right here in the Twin Cities. Summer of Solutions and Cooperative Energy Futures have been partnering to improve energy efficiency, build community, and create economic development in South Minneapolis and around Minnesota.

Some joint projects include:

-Building an asset map of a South Minneapolis neighborhood

-Organizing a team of member-entrepreneurs in South Minneapolis

-Creating a strategy for energy efficiency in rural communities

-Strengthening stewardship projects in the faith-based communities through energy efficiency

Some members of our coodination team wrote blog posts for the Summer of Solutions blog: Christina Getaz on creating more with less and Brianna Besch on her role as a young person trying an innovative business model.

September 18, 2009 | Come meet us
Cooperative Energy Futures will be at the Sustainable Homes Workshop hosted by the Longfellow Community Council. We'll be at the Exhibitor Expo from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. to answer any questions you have about our services. We'll also have order forms for our products at our booth. See a full workshop schedule.
