Our Projects

Cooperative Energy Futures works on various projects and events relating to organizing communities, holding workshops, researching energy efficiency, and working outside companies to be able to provide the best services.

During summer 2010, Cooperative Energy Futures is partnering with the Summer of Solutions, a program that brings together young people to create sustainable community development right here in the Twin Cities. Summer of Solutions and Cooperative Energy Futures have been partnering to improve energy efficiency, build community, and create economic development in South Minneapolis and around Minnesota. Some joint projects include:

-Building an asset map of a South Minneapolis neighborhood

-Organizing a team of member-entrepreneurs in South Minneapolis

-Creating a strategy for energy efficiency in rural communities

-Strengthening stewardship projects in the faith-based communities through energy efficiency
