Cooperative Energy Futures coordinates homeowners within a neighborhood or small town to have their homes insulated. Because the insulation contractors gain so much efficiency in their work by being able to work in one area during a short period of time, they are able to offer discounts. Cooperative Energy Futures facilitates this process, creating benefits for both the homeowner and the contractor.

In 2008, seven homeowners in Merriam Park recieved a 5% discount on insulation work through working with CEF. With a larger group of homes to insulate, we could negotiate higher discounts.
